RIAT 2009 - Friday to Monday

The Royal International Air Tattoo 2009

I spent 4 days at RAF Fairford for the annual Royal International Air Tattoo. Taking part, including both static and flying, were around 300 aircraft. The airshow ran for approximately 8 hours on both show days.

I was also present for the Practice Day on the Friday and Departure Day on the Monday. The weather, of course, played a major part in proceedings but luckily, the weather on the Saturday and the Monday when I was on-base was very good.

Friday and Sundays' weather, at times, unfortunately, was wet to say the least. Below is my take on events over those very enjoyable 4 days.
