A selection of images from a few hours spent at North Weald airfield on Thursday 24th February 2022.
An opportunity not to be missed to see one of the very early test flights of the newly restored & now airworthy Westland Lynx AH.7, XZ179.
It was a bright day but bitterly cold. XZ179 made two flights during my visit & I must say she does look good.
It's great to see a Lynx flying again!!
Also, during my visit, the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, Agusta-Westland AW-169 G-HHEM flew and the Douglas C-54 Skymaster, 56498 ran two of her engines... lovely & smokie they were too.
