My second visit to Duxford in 2011. This airshow was being held to

celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Supermarine Spitfire.

The weather wasn't particularly great and it rained heavily for an hour or so in the afternoon,

a couple of displays were badly affected by the weather but all in all there was a full programme of flying.

The highlight for me was the Boeing F-15E Strike Eagle Demonstration which is showcased in another

section of this website.

Other highlights of the day were the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress 'Sally B', numerous Spitfires and Hurricanes,

together with the BBMF Avro Lancaster which was also in the static,

Jonathon Whaley's 'Miss Demeanour' - Hawker Hunter F.58, G-PSST,

RAF Beech B200 Kingair, ZK450/J. Norwegian Air Force Historic Flight De Havilland Vampire T.55 and DH.100 Pair

and Westland WAH-64D Longbow Apache AH1, ZJ186.
