North Weald Airfield 20/05/15

On the 20th of May 2015 I decided to make another visit to North Weald Airfield in Essex, I did

have a bit of a heads-up as I'd read on Twitter that the De Havilland Vampire T.11, WZ507 (74),

was to depart to Sywell Airfield in Northamptonshire at some point that afternoon

& the Vampire being quite a rare aircraft these days I thought it was too good an opportunity to miss,

plus the sun was out & I was at a bit of a loose end!

Other than the Vampire, which departed shortly after 2PM, nothing else of note moved all day.

It was definitely worth the visit though as Vampires are rare aircraft these days & particularly

WZ507 which doesn't seem to fly anywhere near as much as it used to.

Below are 18 images taken during my visit of Vampire T.11 WZ507 on Wednesday 20th May 2015 :
