North Weald Airfield Community Day

North Weald held an Open Day on the 12th of September 2010.
In the morning between 10am and midday the airfield was open
primarily for aviation photographers, there were no barriers and
once again access to the aircraft was terrific 
The aircraft were well spaced out and again there was that traditional North
Weald warm and friendly atmosphere. After midday the airfield was open
to the general public which made photography a bit more difficult but well
worth the effort.
I do like these events at North Weald, they're very enjoyable.
Aircraft taking part included Kennet Aviation's Supermarine Seafire,
and Douglas Skyraider, a couple of Westland Wasps, numerous Provosts of
different types, a Hawker Sea Fury, DH Chipmunks, Nanchangs, a Catalina and
De Havilland Vampire plus other visitors throughout the day.
